A French national, Eric Kata has been active in the financial services industry since 1989. He has solid expertise in custody, asset management and fund administration for long-only and alternative funds.

Eric started his career in the banking sector and has worked for the French banking group Credit Agricole in France and Luxembourg in retail banking, securities services and fund administration.

In 1992, he joined Indosuez Luxembourg, an international banking group active in private, investment and corporate banking and securities services. There he handled alternative products such as CTA funds, private equity and real estate funds.

He joined Bimaco Finance in 1995. Bimaco provided accounting, transfer agent and compliance software to Luxembourg, Belgium and Swiss fund administrators. In charge of the consultancy department, Eric supported clients in implementation or training projects. He moved in 1998 to Eurobank EFG Private Bank Luxembourg S.A., a subsidiary of EFG Eurobank Egasias S.A., one of Greece’s leading banking and financial institutions. Here Eric was head of operations for the fund administration business line, dealing with funds of funds, funds of hedge funds, hedge funds and private equity funds.

In 2005, Eric joined Société Générale Securities Services, which currently ranks sixth worldwide custodian and second European custodian with €3 trillion of assets under custody. As relationship manager, Eric was in charge of prestigious European asset managers and investment banks. He was involved in UCITs III structured product projects and participated in a major transformational deal of €75 billion, representing 136 UCITs as business matter expert.

Eric joined RBC Dexia in 2007 as director of business development for the alternative products business line. RBC Dexia, equally owned by Royal Bank of Canada and Dexia, is one of the top 10 global custodians with USD 2.5 trillion in client assets under administration. Here Eric participated in the acquisition of new business from prestigious alternative asset managers, hedge funds and investment banks.

Eric joined Amicorp in January 2010 in connection with the opening of the Amicorp Fund Services Luxembourg business line in Luxembourg, where he has since been managing director of this office.

Eric is fluent in French, and speaks English.
